Basic Disclosure Scotland Check

A Basic disclosure is the most common level of check available and can be obtained for any purpose including employment. The certificate will show any unspent convictions the person has.

Applications for Basic Disclosures will be processed according to the Scottish rules under the Rehabilitation periods for particular sentences section of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Basic Disclosure Scotland check can be obtained for any reason, for example:
